Meet Helena!
Helena Valdovinos is a trained actress and recent graduate of The American Musical and
Dramatic Academy New York Campus. She has entertained audiences as Auntie Em in
The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, Ensemble in Mamma Mia!, Cinderella in Into The
Woods Jr., and Helen in Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.
Helena attended the performing arts school Miami Arts Studio 6-12 @ Zelda Glazer in
her hometown of Miami, Florida. She also attended The American Musical and Dramatic
Academy in New York City as a musical theatre student, where she received a Certificate in
Musical Theatre. She’s had 9 years of private vocal training, 5 years of ballet
training, and 4 years of jazz training.
Recently, Helena has performed partial roles as Jean in Dead Man’s Cellphone by Sarah
Ruhl, Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible by Arthur Miller, Janice in Mean Girls the Musical
by Tina Fey, and Eurydice in Hadestown by Anais Mitchell. She is continuing to pursue
her career and learning more about her craft by taking dance and voice lessons around
the city.
As she goes out into the world of theatre, Helena wants to learn everything she can. She
wants to give back to those who believed in her and those who inspired her to step into
the performing arts.
